- ✓Use turn-around facts
- ✓Derive harder facts
💡 How it works
Learn “Times-table practice – Grade 3” in small steps: understand the method first, then practise with a worksheet or online test.
How it works
💡 Rule: use facts you know and turn-around facts. Multiplication and division belong together.
You do not need to memorise the times tables as one hundred separate answers. Start with 1, 2, 5 and 10; then use turn-around facts: if 4 × 6 = 24, then 6 × 4 = 24.
Derive difficult facts from ones you know. For 6 × 7, calculate 5 × 7 = 35 and add one more 7 to get 42.
Practise briefly every day with mixed questions, not only by reciting each table.
